Monday, May 3rd, 2010Regulators not designed for cold water use are especially prone to freezing. Our simple yet extremely effective Freeflow Control Device contributes a significant advance in diver safety. In the event of 2nd stage freezing, freeflow can cause catastrophic loss of air.
With the Freeflow Control Device fitted to your regulator, a simple sliding action allows the diver to isolate the freeflowing 2nd stage and continue the dive using a secondary air source or alternatively, the diver can manually control the air flow allowing a safe ascent to the surface. Designed to fit all regulators that use the standard 9/16″ UNF hose fitting.
Apeks XTX20 Regulator
Monday, May 3rd, 2010The XTX20 is an ideal regulator for warm-water divers and for dive training programs. It is rugged, yet economical. Its balanced 1st stage feature means you’ll be breathing easy, even as the pressure around you changes as you increase or decrease your depth or as the pressure in your tank changes.
This means you won’t have to exert yourself in order to fill your lungs as your dive progresses. The Environmental Dry Sealing System will keep your regulator from icing up in cold water and will protect your regulator from the all-too-common silt buildup. In addition to being a great safety feature, the Environmental Dry Sealing System eliminates the need for using silicon and grease to keep your regulator in working order.
